Quell the voices

That creep in

 From nooks and corners,

Telling you

That you can’t .

Quell them

Before the words

They utter,

Come rumbling along,

Uprooting your hopes.

Quell them

Before they carve out

Little incisions

Upon your mind,

And watch you fall apart.

Quell them,

I say,

Quell them –

So that you too may say,

In clarion tones,

I am, I can and I will.
