Dawn

Dawn swathed

In silken robes of hope

Treads softly past

My half open window,

Breathing a prayer

Over me.

I stir and sigh,

As the dreams of the night gone by

Toss around, teasing gently.

A rubicund ray

Steals through the open spaces

Of twilight

And gently caresses my little world.

Another day I take –

A few hours from a lifetime –

To etch a line or two.

A story, am I, in the making –

Half told, half heard.

    Somehow, the last sentence made me sigh! Somehow, It made me feel that the protagonist perhaps needs the Dawn to linger on for a while. Or, may be, my interpretation is incorrect. πŸ˜€πŸ’šπŸ’š
